How to Start a Club

Starting your own club is actually a lot easier than you think, once you break down the steps...!

You Will Need To:

•Fill Out Club Charter Request Form

•Discuss the purpose of your club.

•Form an Executive Board for your club, find an advisor (an employee of the SJECCD District)

•There must be at least 5 currently enrolled SJCC/EVC students listed on the roster page with Student ID numbers.

•Clubs may assign a Representative to attend the weekly ASG meetings. Otherwise, clubs can opt out of attending meetings via the Semester Leave form.

•Create your club's Bylaws. Here is an example that you can use to build your own.

•Attend ASG Meeting to Get Voted in

•All clubs are accepted and encouraged.

•Send a representative to our regular weekly meeting to get voted in.

•Once voted in, each club gets $2000 startup funds allocated to a club account to be used to raise money for future events/activities.

•For questions regarding finances contact our Vice President of Finance

•For other questions pertaining to clubs contact our Vice President
